The Subaru Forester VS The Competition:

It is always a good idea for Willamette Valley drivers to check out what the competition has to offer to make sure they choose the best SUV for them. We know that research trim levels and features aren't nearly as fun as going for a test drive. So we have done the work for you and compared the Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson to the Subaru Forester in all of the ways that matter most.

Fuel efficient, spirited performance, and commanding performance no matter where the road may go are things that Hillsboro drivers will find the wheel behind of the Subaru Forester. The Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson both fall short of the Forester with less powerful engines, aren't as fuel-efficient, and less capable all-wheel-drive systems that are available for an additional cost. The Hyundai Tucson has two engine options that offer either 161 or 181 horsepower and only get up to 26 highway mpg with all-wheel-drive. The Honda CR-V also has two powertrain options that are similar in power to the Forester and get 33 highway mpg with all-wheel-drive. Under the hood of the Forester is a 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER that produces 182 horsepower and gets up to 33 highway mpg. with Auto Stop-Start Technology.

The standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive give the Forester unmatched stability, traction, and control regardless of terrain or conditions. X-Mode with Hill Descent Control is another performance feature of the Forester that provides enhanced performance on low-friction surfaces when taking the road less traveled. Neither the Hyundai Tucson or Honda CR-V offer a similar feature.

Advanced Safety:

Drivers from all across the Greater Pacific Northwest want to get behind the wheel of a new SUV that is safe and reliable and once again the Subaru Forester comes out on top. Year after year the Subaru Forester has been a leader in its class when it comes to safety and comes standard with Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. The Honda CR-V has a similar safety package, Honda Sensing, but it isn't available on every trim level and will force you to buy a more expensive model. The Hyundai Tucson comes standard with some advanced safety features while others are only available on top of the line models. The Tucson and CR-V also don't offer a number of safety features that are available on the Forester. Like LED Steering Responsive Headlights, Automatic Collision Notification, and Subaru DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System.

There is a lot to love about the Subaru Forester and we have just scratched the surface. The Forester has a wide array of features that keep your favorite tunes playing, stay connected, and adapt to your adventure needs. Every Forester comes standard with STARLINK multimedia with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto; which is an available feature on select trim levels of the Honda CR-V. Another feature that the Hyundai Tucson and Honda CR-V aren't available with is 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity.
